Neil’s diverse contributions and commitment to music education at various levels keep him in constant demand as an educator. He currently teaches piano in Canton, Michigan, with students ranging in age from 6 through adult studying a wide range of music from classical to jazz and rock as well as theory and composition. Neil also teaches Instrumental Music and Jazz at Greenhills School in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where he directs ensembles at the middle school and high school levels.

Neil’s credentials include a BM in Music Education from West Virginia University and an MM in Improvisation and Jazz Studies from the University of Michigan. He is a member of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) and the International Society for Improvised Music (ISIM).
